Project developer, Malmö
My name is Robert Cardell and I am a project developer in the South region, Malmö. As a project developer, I come in when there is a need from a customer or that we have seen a property or land with great potential that we want to acquire.
– I have many contact points every day, dialogue with municipalities about their needs, with our administration about opportunities in current properties and with the project managers so that we are united in the plans for the future.
– It is important to have an open mind as a project can take different paths along the way, to be ready to think in new ways. Working with projects is great fun, it’s something I’m really passionate about as our community properties, when completed, make a big difference to so many people – pupils, people seeking care, residents in retirement homes and their relatives. And of course everyone who works in the buildings.
– I am particularly passionate about finding opportunities for co-utilisation, cracking that code. It feels so wrong when a property is unnecessarily empty for many hours of the day when there are opportunities for others to benefit from it through, for example, football training or cooking classes. For example, we work with sports hall concepts linked to gyms, where school sports are carried out during the day and private individuals and associations use the premises in the evenings and at weekends. Here we contribute to the benefit of society and it feels very good.
