Great demand for sports facilities
The demand for more sports halls is great in many places in Sweden, especially in growth regions. A large part of today’s sports halls were built in the 1960s and 1970s, when many of the community services were expanded.
Many of today’s sports facilities are old and outdated and there is a need for new and more efficient facilities. As several new schools need to be built in the coming years, this also means an increase in the associated sports halls. In Sweden alone, more than 1,000 new schools are needed in the next ten years, and we see a corresponding development in Finland and Germany.
Specialist knowledge
Today, Hemsö has an existing portfolio of around 25 sports halls and ice rinks that we manage. We develop and plan for additional sports facilities, both independently and in combination projects with, for example, schools.
With our specialist knowledge, we can offer qualitative help in the development of new sports facilities and ice rinks.
