Hemsö's core business is public properties, we develop several schools, nursing homes and other social infrastructure properties every year. We have very good knowledge of the operations in our premises and know what specific requirements are set in order to create the best conditions.
The real estate strategy in a municipality or region can be owning everything themselves, only renting or to have a mix of both owning and renting public properties.
There are several advantages to involving an actor like Hemsö in the strategy. Thanks to our efficient project and asset management process together with an innovative approach, we create purpose-built buildings at the right rental cost. Renting from us also frees up capital in a municipality, money that the municipality can use for other needs. Hemsö has as good financing arrangement as a municipality.
By meeting the growing need for social infrastructure, we contribute to an important part of society and create sustainable growth for Swedish pension funds through our largest owner the Third Swedish National Pension Fund, AP3.
