Society and our responsibiliy
As property owners, we have an important role in society. We make a major contribution to the creation of new nursing home places and school places. Through collaboration with various organizations, we also contribute to a more inclusive society.
PROJECT
Campus tensta – a modern educational campus
School during the day and associations in the evening create a secure and vivid environment. Campus Tensta will be a place for meetings between people from the local residential areas and for residents from all over Stockholm.
In citizen dialogues with the residents of Tensta, they have requested sports activities. Therefore, we have invested in activities such as ice skating and running races in Pilparken, in collaboration with the municipality of Stockholm and local associations.
Murals that bring facades to life
As a property owner, Hemsö wants to contribute with art in the public environment, which has many positive effects, it contributes to a nicer and safer place.

Campus Vasastan
Pilar Tolosa and Julían Facundo Razquin from Argentina – who sign their art Ciplope – have created the artwork that adorns the wall of our campus in Vasastan, Stockholm.

Uppåkraskolan
Uppåkraskolan’s students in year five, together with artists, developed the motif for a mural that they then participated in creating on one of the sports hall’s walls.
Capella – Karlastaden’s public property
In our new district Capella in Gothenburg, a previously anonymous and somewhat boring stairwell has been given new life through a collaboration between Hemsö, KV Konstskola and Folkuniversitetet.

Järvaveckan
Järva Week is one of Sweden’s biggest politicians’ weeks and a popular movement for diversity, inclusion and social sustainability. Here people from civil society, business, politics and the public sector meet. In addition to political speeches, social debates and a job market, Järvaveckan is a destination and experience with food, culture and music.

Almedalsveckan
Almedalen Week is the world’s largest democratic meeting place for social issues. No issue is too insignificant and none too extensive. Almedalen Week is a place with a focus on the meeting and conversation, where different voices and different perspectives can be heard. A meeting place – open to anyone who wants to be part of the democratic conversation.
Safe and stimulating environments
Hemsö develops and manages environments that provide the conditions for everyone who occupies our premises to be safe, develop and grow to their full potential.
The schoolyard lift
Hemsö’s concept “The schoolyard lift” is an initiative to improve the outdoor environment in our schoolyards. Planning outdoor environments is important for how children play and how they experience nature.
