Hemsö acquires healthcare center in Hollola

Hemsö acquires a social and healthcare center in the municipality of Hollola, outside Lahti. The Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme is the tenant with an 11-year lease agreement. The lettable area amounts to 4,300 square meters. Hemsö’s investment totals EUR 14 million.

The property is located in central Hollola, close to a swimming hall, schools and sports facilities. The building, completed in 2021, brings together several services under one roof, including a primary care center, psychological services and dental care. It is a modern building with flexible premises and a high technical standard.

The social and healthcare center is Hemsö’s first property in the municipality of Hollola and marks Hemsö’s first lease agreement with the Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme.

“The health care center in Hollola is an important part of the local service offering, and we see a long-term use for the property. The building is modern and functional, with an attractive location. Hollola is an expanding municipality, and the entire Lahti region represents an attractive investment area for us,” says Jarkko Leinonen, Head of Region Finland at Hemsö.

“Hollola municipality decided to sell the social and health care center in connection with the transfer of responsibility for organizing services from the municipality to the Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme. It is very positive that the wellbeing services county gains a partner that is already established in the region and can manage and further develop the necessary facilities. This helps ensure access to essential social and health care services for residents”, says Päivi Rahkonen, Municipal Director of Hollola Municipality.

Hemsö owns 90,000 square meters of social and healthcare properties in Finland. The Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme serves 200,000 residents and is responsible for social services, healthcare and rescue services in ten municipalities.

Hemsö will take possession of the property in April 2026.
