Lund International School

Hemsö is developing a new school for Lund International School with room for 450 pupils and a lettable area of 5,100 square metres.
A 20-year agreement has been signed with Lund International School, a non-profit school founded in 2005. The new primary school is being developed in Brunnshög, where the need for international education is high. The growing neighbourhood in northern Lund has a focus on life, innovation and research. It is home to the ESS and MAX IV research facilities and several world-leading research companies.
Jakob Schuster, Project developer– We are very much looking forward to contributing to the urban development of Brunnshög by providing new, much-needed school places for families from all over the world.
The research and development conducted in this high-profile environment will benefit not only Lund, but all of Sweden and the world, says Jakob Schuster, project developer at Hemsö.
Teun Dekker, board member of Lund International School– We are looking forward to welcoming our students to modern and customised facilities in an environment that fosters innovation and development.
We will be where we are needed, as many of Lund Municipality’s international families are linked to the site, says Teun Dekker, board member of Lund International School.
Construction will start in spring 2025, the official groundbreaking took place on 27 May 2025 and completion is expected in the spring semester of 2027. The building will be environmentally certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver, with level Gold on energy consumption.
