Vänersborg District Court
Hemsö has been awarded the lease for the new district court in Vänersborg. The lease agreement with the Swedish National Courts Administration is for 15 years. The investment amounts to approximately SEK 300 million. Hemsö is implementing the project in collaboration with Fojab.
The new district court will be built on Hemsö’s property Grävlingen 28. The location in the city, in close proximity to the railway station, pedestrian zone and restaurants, as well as a clear location at the southern entrance to central Vänersborg, is well suited to the needs of the Swedish National Courts Administration in the area. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2024, with estimated occupancy during the summer of 2026.

The court building consists of 6,850 square metres and houses approximately 130 workplaces, 11 courtrooms, including two security rooms, a room for the Land and Environment Court, security control with adjoining reception, public areas, staff offices and transport and detention rooms. The building will be constructed with a strong focus on energy efficiency and is prepared for possible future expansion in such a way that security zones and flows are ensured.
