Borlänge Police station

Hemsö has signed a 15-year lease agreement with the Swedish Police Authority for a new police station in Borlänge. The agreement involves leasing 21,000 square metres at an annual rental value of approximately SEK 45 million.

The new police building will replace the police’s current premises from the mid-1970s and will be located in the centre of Borlänge. The validity of the lease has been subject to government approval, which was granted on 30 November 2023. A joint venture contract has been procured and awarded to the contractor SSEA.

It is gratifying that the government has now approved the lease agreement so that we can proceed to the start of construction.

Emma Karlsson, project developer at Hemsö

“We are looking forward to developing a modern and efficient police station based on the requirements of police work. The police are one of our largest tenants, and we have previously helped them with remodelling and new construction of police buildings in Rinkeby and Umeå, for example,” Emma Karlsson continues.
